2. Word formation: adjectives.
Read the text. Change the words in the text boxes to form adjectives.
3. Compound adjectives:
These are the most common patterns for forming compound adjectives:

Make adjectives from these definitions.
For example:

4. Describing people.
Read these two descriptions and decide which of the pictures best match the description.
5. Text reconstruction.
From memory, put the sentences of Text A in order by clicking and dragging. There is one sentence from Text B included which doesn't fit; put it in the red box at the bottom.
6. Write.
Choose one of these people and imagine an encounter with them on, for example, a train, bus or plane.
Write your description in three paragraphs as if it were the beginning of a novel. Include a description of their appearance, your reaction to it, and the first conversation between you. Write approximately 150-200 words.
Check grammar, spelling and the organisation of your description carefully.
