Verb patterns: it + verb + object + infinitive

The following verbs follow the pattern of it + verb + object + infinitive: annoy, upset, irritate, bug (this is an informal, colloquial word), worry, concern, interest, puzzle, surprise, amaze, shock, please and comfort.

It	bothers	me	to see	food being wasted.
It	worried	Linda	to hear	the news.
It	amazed	the doctors	to witness	the patient's recovery.
It	will please	us	to receive	your invitation.

These verbs are also commonly used in passive forms.

I am bothered by seeing food being wasted.
Linda was worried by the news.
The doctors were amazed by the patient's recovery.
We were pleased by your invitation.
