A road trip to Las Vegas
A friend and I once rented a car to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We decided to drive at night, when it was cooler, and we were driving along when suddenly there was a loud explosion – one of the tyres had burst! Luckily, my friend was able to keep control of the car and pull over to the side of the highway. When we opened the boot, we realised the spare tyre was secured with bolts and we didn’t know how to get it out. It was pitch black and there were no other cars on the road, we didn’t know what to do! Then, a huge truck went past us and stopped. We were really scared. Fortunately, the driver turned out to be very friendly and helped us change the tyre. Finally, we got to our hotel at five in the morning!
