Verbs of planning and organizing

The following verbs are all used to talk about organizing and planning things: prepare, decide, arrange, plan, consider, organize, intend and investigate.

Verbs that take infinitive with to or a noun

prepare	He is preparing to leave for the airport. We are preparing a party for Saturday night.
decide	She decided to leave on the weekend. He decided on a white pair of jeans.
arrange	I arranged to call on the weekend. They arranged a meeting for Monday morning.
plan	The Hilton plans to build a hotel on the moon. They are also planning a free trip for journalists.

Verb + noun

investigate	They investigated the possibility of beginning in the New Year.
consider	The manager is considering the suggestions.
organize	He organized a trip to the country.

Verb + infinitive with to

intend

We intend to write a letter explaining the problem.
