Read about Maria's day. Find six differences with your daily routine.

Maria works in a bank in Madrid, the capital of Spain. She gets up at 6:00 in the morning, has a coffee, then takes the bus to work. She gets to work at 8 a.m. and works until 3 p.m., with a short break for breakfast. She goes home for lunch. After lunch she normally works from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., but on Friday she doesn't work in the afternoon. She normally has dinner at 10 p.m. and goes to bed at 12:00.

Write sentences about the daily activities of another person.

1. Choose a country. Write six to eight sentences about customs in that country. Use the verbs:
eat / drink / celebrate / wear / live / have / speak / play / work / go

They speak English.
They eat fish and chips.
People have dinner at 6 p.m.
People have a big breakfast on Sunday.
They celebrate Guy Fawkes Night on 5th November.
They don't have a siesta.
People normally work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
People normally go to work by car or by train.
People don't work on Sunday.
