  2. Questions or comments about your written work or feedback.
  3. Conversation. Choose one of the two alternatives.

Alternative 1 – Good and bad learning experiences
    1. In this first stage, you will talk about the four images below. Briefly describe them and talk about how they relate to the topic of this unit.

    2. A photo of a teacher in a traditional classroom, standing at the blackboard. A photo of drama workshop or some kind of role play situation, where two people are sitting on large boxes and interacting. There is another person, like a director or teacher, standing off to the side.
An old black and white photo of women in a line, working in a mill or factory with heavy machinery. A photo of two children and a man, possibly their father. They are all wearing protective clothing and welding goggles. The elder of the two boys is using a blow torch to cut a piece of metal. The father and younger boy are watching.

    3. In this next stage, choose two of the images and discuss with your tutor what they have in common.
    4. Talk about the good and bad learning experiences that you have had. Your tutor may ask you the following questions.
      • Do you think education systems need to change?
      • How have the needs of society changed over the past 50 years?
      • What do you see as an ideal learning environment?
